The Lukla Airport serves as the gateway for the Everest Region and the flight to Lukla often gets cancelled or delayed as wind blows tremendously in the higher elevation. Lukla airport which is also rated as the most dangerous airport in the world is compounded by hazardous weather, so taking off and landing the flights in the foggy, cloudy and windy weather can be considered as a big threat. Hence we recommend you to add extra 2-3 days for the Everest Region Trek.
